The Australian Sovereignty Party agrees that climate change occurs; it’s an undeniable, scientifically proven fact. We are, however, against the propaganda emitted by the corporate mainstream media and government bodies abroad, that proliferate the theory that “global warming” is anthropogenic (i.e. man-made).

The ASP Policy on "Climate Change" is:

• The ASP fully supports the maintenance and improvement of our environment bestowed unto us. In fact, we regard ourselves the true environmentalists. However, we are against the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) and its agenda to de-industrialise the West, and to further consolidate wealth and power into the hands of banking cartels and other special interested parties. For instance, the Copenhagen Treaty (if ratified) would have enforced a carbon tax to be payed to the World Bank as a precursor to the establishment of a one world government.

• The ASP, and the majority of the credible scientific community, acknowledges that this carbon reduction and trading scheme is founded upon exaggerations and deception; we will have no part in that. We’re a party dedicated to promoting truth, and exposing lies.

• As one of ASP’s policies is the promotion of truth, we agree with the 31,000+ scientists (of which well over 9,000 have PhD’s) that climate change is a natural occurrence that has manifested many times over thousands of years. We know that there is no “consensus” that global warming can be attributed to human intervention. To the contrary, there are a dozen-fold more renowned scientists that argue the opposite – compared to the IPCC’s 2,500 scientists (of which only 600 have actually dealt with climate science, and only 5 have read and agreed with the chapter of the review attributing climate change to human activity).

• It’s quite evident that the science on climate change isn’t settled. The world’s top climatologists, meteorologists, geologists, and other scientists in their respective fields have proven this fact. The majority agree that anthropogenic global warming (AGW) is a lie. Another nail in the coffin of the AGW theory is the “climategate” scandal; a series of leaked emails of correspondence from the East Anglia University’s Climate Research Unit and the UN’s climate change body, the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change). These authenticated emails prove that the IPCC and other funded research units have conspired to deceive and manipulate people’s perceptions on climate change by falsifying and omitting data.

• Elected members of ASP will demand an independent, peer-reviewed investigation (where the researchers will have no vested interests) into climate change, and work towards an adaptation policy.

• We will call upon the corporate mainstream media and government to stop their propaganda campaign of AGW by fear-mongering and lying to the Australian people. ASP will not stand by and let those who have vested interests in promoting the AGW theory mislead Australian citizens.

• The ASP will oppose any legislation relating to climate change that will require the sacrifice and curbing of industry and lifestyle.
